Payment
Payment of the total amount due will enable you to collect your lots.  The total amount due is the sum of the hammer price, with the addition of VAT if applicable, the buyer’s premium (inclusive of VAT) and, if accrued, charges for interest and/or storage plus VAT. Where more than one lot has been bought none will be released until all have been paid for, together with the charges described above.

In order to process your payment without delay please quote the sale date and lot number with all transactions.

Credit Card (subject to a surcharge of 2% plus VAT)
Debit Card
Cheque We accept cheques drawn on UK banks only.  Cheque clearance will take 5 to 10 days
Cash  It is Mellors and Kirk’s policy not to accept single or multiple payments in cash or cash equivalents of more than £5,000 (or the equivalent value in another currency)

Payment will only be accepted from the purchaser of the lots and not from any other party unless otherwise agreed prior to the Sale.

Sold lots will be released once the total amount due has been paid.  The Salerooms are open from Monday to Friday 8.30 – 5pm and Saturday 9am-12am.

We do not undertake the packing or shipping of sold lots.  We can recommend several reliable carriers, but please note that we have no vested interest in promoting the services of any particular carrier, neither can we accept any responsibility for loss or damage.  Many of our clients have used Alban Shipping or Mail Boxes to collect their lots.  Click here for a link to the Alban Shipping website.
